STAINS- John Wayne was a Nazi, b/w Born to die 7" (RRadical Records, USA, 1980)

Before they were MDC in San Francisco, they were the Stains in Austin, Texas. They didn't like Texas much. STAINS- John Wayne was a Nazi, b/w Born to die 7" (RRadical Records, USA, 1980) is Texas Punk Rock at its finest. One thing about Punk Rockers in Texas, at least in the 80s and early 90s, is they were not posers.

Peggio Punx - La Citta… E.P. 7″

From Italy (1983), it's Peggio Punx - La Citta… E.P. 7″. It has the typical frantic style of most Italian 80s hardcore, and some of the better I've heard. I like driving to it.

X Ray Spex - Oh Bondage Up Yours 7″

X Ray Spex - Oh Bondage Up Yours 7″.  (Follow link for Mp3s.)  Poly Styrene was a much better singer than Blondie. It's too bad she didn't do more.

Germfree Adolescents
 is worth every penny.

Black Flag - Jealous Again

I regard Black Flag - Jealous Again EP as being among my aesthetic anthems.  Every song drips with some type of hatred and/or rage.  I appreciate You Bet We've Got Something Against You! which (I seem to recall) is directed at their former lead singer.

B.G.K.-White Male Dumbinance

Download B.G.K.-White Male Dumbinance (follow link for MP3s). BALTHASAR GERARDS KOMMANDO (B.G.K.) was a great 1980s Dutch hardcore band.  This EP is also included on the AT compilation A Dutch Feast... The Complete Works Of Balthasar Gerards Kommando (follow link for more MP3s).

Blatz

Here are some Blatz MP3s. Blatz, which feature both male and female vocalist, is from the East Bay. In particular, I appreciate Berkeley Is My Baby (And I Wanna Kill It).  The Blatz/Filth Shit Split is definitely worth owning.

Subhumans - Death To The Sickoids 7″

From Canada (not to be confused with the UK band by the same name), it's Subhumans - Death To The Sickoids 7″ (follow link for MP3s).  This single was their first and is definitely worth downloading.

Here's something which I had not yet heard, and I love it! From Italy, which has produced some of the best hardcore bands in the world, it's Declino - E.P. 7″ (follow link for MP3s). The energy is high, and the drums are solid. Get it now.

Positively D.O.A.7"

Positively D.O.A. 7" (follow link for MP3s) contains 5 of the best of D.O.A.  This EP is the first place I'd ever heard their music.  My favorite song has always been The Enemy.

Kraut - Kill For Cash

Here's another  Kraut - Kill For Cash (follow link for MP3s).  It's a solid E.P. (although they have done better.)  I liked Kraut is for Cabbage.  Some people just don't get anything unless it's spelled out.

Black Flag - Louie Louie 7"

Hear some great Black Flag - Louie Louie 7"  (follow link for MP3s).  These two tracks (the other being the "classic" Damaged) do not feature Henry Rollins.  Black Flag was the first punk rock show I ever saw.

Rhythm Pigs - An American Activity E.P. 7″

I would have killed for Rhythm Pigs - An American Activity E.P. 7″ (follow link for MP3s), but thanks to Killed By Death Records, I don't have to kill anyone.  Thanks for saving another life.

Freestone

As is common with respect to punk rock and homemade mixed tapes, here is another band that I've heard but did not know their name.  Download Freestone - Church 7″ (follow link for MP3s). Give it a listen. The b-side "Bummer Bitch" is awesome punk rock.

I hate Tourists

I hate Tourists (follow link for MP3) by The Freeze is a song which I can totally relate.  I've been listening to it for years on a tape someone made for me, but until I just came across it on Killed By Death Records, I didn't know who did it.  The Chorus goes something like this:
I hate tourists, tourists suck,
It's only their daughter, I wanna fuck,
There isn't a tourist that I don't hate,
So get the hell out of my state!
Such sweet music.

I Refuse It!

While on the topic of Italian Hardcore, I also appreciate I Refuse It! (Some English language, but mostly Italian). They released a split LP with Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers and a single on the P.E.A.C.E./War compilation.

Also Here are some rare European punk MP3s.

Raw Power

Raw Power is among my favorite European Hard Core bands, and my second favorite Italian (English language) act after Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers. Their energy level, including their remarkable 2000 release Trust Me, is astounding and good for fighting. They appear to be basically a DIY (which obviously appeals). If you like hardcore, you'll love Raw Power.

Here are a few free MP3s.

The Vandals Play Sadr City

The Vandals were in Sadr City! I wonder if they played "Anarchy Burger?" If you think you're free, try going into a deli and urinating on the cheese! (Or some such.)

Dr. Know

Dr. Know is one of the better known Nardcore bands from Oxnard, CA. Their singer Brandon Cruz replaced Jello Biafra during 2001 - 2003, and toured with the Dead Kennedys. Their music is some of the finer Southern California hardcore around. A former college roomate once told me, during a show in Colorado Springs in the 1980s, that they ignored a police order to disburse and started a riot with their song "Fist Fuck."

Saturday, September 30, 2006

Reagan Youth

Reagan Youth is solid hard core punk rock. The LPs are worth owning for the artwork. "Degenerated" is my favorite song. Since I first heard it, the guitar is well tuned for this type of music, and a definite influence for my own much more crappy guitar playing. I want to be just like 'em when I grow up (or maybe not - read the biography).

Nausea

Before death metal, there was Nausea. Like CRASS, Nausea also had both male and female vocals. For its time, and even afterward, there is really nothing else quite like it. Nausea is intense hard core at its finest. The art work is also very well done. Indeed, the record pressing of Blackened Dove is worth owning for the cover design alone.

Scratch Acid

From Austin, Texas, Scratch Acid is one of the better punk noise bands. After breaking up, several members joined with Steve Albini to form the Rapemen. It's all good (assuming you like that kind of thing).

I've devoted my life to their teachings.

The Problem With Music

Before signing that recording contract read The Problem With Music by Steve Albini. "Some of your friends are probably already this fucked." See also Big Black and their John Peel Session.

Tuesday, September 12, 2006

The Accused

Even though The Accused is a Seattle band, I first saw them in Denver at the Aztlan Theater in Denver. The music was a blend of punk and heavy metal with themes of cheesy comic book horror. Martha Splatterhead is amusing. The lead singer Blaine Cook was also the frontman for The Fartz.

Thursday, August 31, 2006

The Crucifucks

The Crucifucks. On their first self-titled album, the anger is intense. Hinkley had a Vision, and Cops for Fertilizer win them the gold star for pushing the limits of rage driven music. Why listen to people only sounding angry? Largely ignored, they avoided many legal troubles. Cop Killer is nothing in comparison.

Here is the Alternative Tentacles biography.

Here is the Wilkipedia entry.

New Jersey's Got It?

New Jersey's Got It? (LP) Compilation is worth owning. I especially appreciate Cyanamid's "Support" (the scene).

You're Stupid! #3

You're Stupid! #3 was originally recorded in 2000 and remixed in 2006 as the 7th track for Drunk And Armed's second album Only Chumps Pay.

Words & Music: Capt'n Lightning & SRL
Capt'n Lightning: Vocals, Bass
SRL: Effects

You're Stupid
So Stupid
Too stupid
You're too stupid to breath, politicians

Credit card liberals* and politicians too
Clean out your ears
This song's about you
Dumber than dirt
Smart as paint
Sharpest tool in the shed you ain't
Get out town
Takin' up space
Get out of the human race

Repeat

*My original line was "credit card communists," but it works for liberals as well.

RKL

I saw RKL (Rich Kids on L.S.D.) only once, in 1994 at the Offramp in Seattle, and it was among the best shows I ever saw. (MDC opened). The lead singer (after shooting up I was later told) even vomited on the audiance (but not on me). RKL is the only band I've ever heard say that their new album (at the time) sucked, and actually did not play anything from it. Their sound is primo punk rock. You can listen to RKL Radio at their site and hear for yourself..

They appear to be mostly dead now (probably from overdose). What a shock.

P.E.A.C.E./War

The P.E.A.C.E./War international punk rock compliation is one of the best ever released. The original double album features 55 bands.

New Bomb Turks

Are the New Bomb Turks too good to be punk rock? No. Around 1995, I once traded their lead singer ten Drunk And Armed Bumper Stickers for one of their records. Their live show was one of the best I'd ever seen.

NoMeansNo

NoMeansNo is unique among the genre of hardcore, and probably too talented. Here is their Wilkioedia entry. Featuring the Wright brothers, their skill is among the better among musicians of any genre. Who else would do a song called "Metronome?" Their music is dark, funny and violent (so naturally I'm drawn to it). They are definitely worth going to see live (although, I'm not certain if they play live anymore). They play just like their albums. I can always appreciate a band that is polished in such a manner (as opposed to plastic). Perhaps, that is why NoMeansNo is not more well known?

Christ On A Crutch

If you like hardcore, Christ On A Crutch is worth a Listen. It's some of the better that I know from the Seattle area (although Kill From The Heart has them confused with the other Washington. The drummer was also a member of Treepeople.

Crime Pays When Pigs Die is worth owning.

Money

I'll be without internet access for a while. Meanwhile, here's an additional track. More may be found Here.

D.O.A.

D.O.A., formed in 1978 and based out of Vancouver B.C., is certainly one of the most influential Canadian punk rock bands. Their music is an interesting mix of political and party punk. They even have their own hockey team. I've seen them about a half a dozen times since moving to the Pacific Northwest and I've never been disappointed.

Here's a short history and release list of the band.

Here are a few streams and Mp3s.

Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers

The Italian anti-fascist hardcore by Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers is among my favorites of straight-up European hardcore punk rock (or from anywhere else for that matter).

Here are two pages with MP3s:
400 Fascists
Furious Party EP track.
(I have found that these downloads do not work with all browsers, so if it doesn't work try a different browser.)

My all-time favorite song by this high-energy band is Crushed By The Wheels of Industry. Since I will surely do a cover of this song (someday, anyway), here's the Lyrics:

CRUSHED BY THE WHEELS OF INDUSTRY
Those landscapes you see
Aren't made of life
They're made of death
It's like a cancer ridden spectre that's covering the earth
And everything you see
It's just these grey walls and wasteland around
I've been crushed
Been crushed
Been crshed by the wheels of industry
That's what happens to me that's what i'm going thru right now
Lost my head, lost my hands, lost my lungs, lost my thoughts, lost my voice
Lost
Seems like ten thousand years had passed
From my real ego
I can remember what I was
But can't go on like this today
The obsession of perfection
Likes ass but paints it as a friendship
Feel the tears strangling your throat
Where are you?
What's happened?
BE HUMBLE IT'S YOUR TURN NOW
SUGAR IN LIFE
POISON FOR THE MASSES
I SEE A COFFIN
I VOMIT
I JUST THROW UP
I see all of my stupid workingmates
All they care about is their wages
An' every Friday I cannot tell 'em to go to hell
Only waiting for my cash
End up to a bar and I can spend it all
Gettin' fucked up
Anytime I want
Here comes Monday
See my boss
Forty-five years gone
And he smells
Like a girl
Now he's rich got a rich bitch
You know, he's my uncle
And he always got his foot on my head
Fiv eminutes late
He's gonna bitch for three hours
Gonna make you fell like a piece of shit
Eight o'clock
I gotta work
But I just fell like blow this place apart
Tear this place apart
Factories don't burn by themselves
They just need a helping hand
And anyways,
The problem is not just factories
But what's behind them
It's like a cancer
Something you have to fight
You've got to be there
And experience once
Then you'll know what I'm talking about
OK, since I don't practice what I preach
Ain't gonna preach anymore
An' I'm tied to this cruel machine that cruel green machine
With a money chain
Becuase the money
That's what I want
Money in my pockets
Being with you was such a thrill but your love won't pay my bills

I can think of a few other things that need burning, but that's for another time...

Klinton (Bill)

Remember the good old days of Klinton bashing? He sure did lower the bar. Klinton (Bill) was recorded during the Fall of 2000.

I know there's no one here to claim her
I know it seems insane
But, somewhere I just can't seem to remember
Somewhere I seem to have lost my name

I can't recall anything at all
I can't even remember
What's started to fall
I can't even remember
What was on her dress
I can't even remember
What was that word: is?

The Streets

Mike Skinner (aka The Streets) definitely has talent. His style, sometimes called "Garage," is a form of Hip Hop that is very different from the US styles. He sings about waht he know: partying, annoying friends and trying to score. As he says, "Here we say 'bird,' not 'bitches." His first two albums, "Original Pirate Material" and "A Grand Don't Come for Free," are among my all-time favorties of any genre. A third album has just been released, but I have not heard it yet (although, judging from the samples below, I suspect I'll like it just fine).

Check out sample mp3s Here.

Jihad Swing #1

Jihad Swing #1 was written in 2000 at about 3:00 AM after a night of drinking and listening to lame bands. It's even more timely than it was then, which causes us to ask: how could you not see it coming?

This version was the first recorded in December 2000 on a two-track stereo.

See also Jihad Swing (Hammer Version) The lyrics are slightly different.

Capt'n Lightning: Bass, Vocals
SRL: Effects

Track downloads may be found Here.

Jihad Swing
Feeling Kinda Suicidal
Jihad Swing
Feeling kinda Suicidal

I don’t believe in abortion
I believe in suicide
I want to blow up a building with me inside
You know there’s two asses in assassination
Jihad
Illumination
A liberation

I’m Feeling Kind of Suicidal
Got the Jihad Swing
Feeling Suicidal Tonight

I don’t believe in abortion
I believe in suicide
I want to blow up a building with me inside
You know there’s two asses in assassination
Jihad
Illumination
A liberation

Gonna do the Jihad Swing
Kinda Suicidal
etc.

The Rezillos

The Rezillos were yet another band in the new wave of late 1970s UK Punk. Although "poppy," their speed and energy sets them apart from most of their contemporaries.

Here's a short history.

Here are album clips. It's definitely worth checking out.

The Beatnigs

The Beatnigs is worth checking out (MP3s for download may be found at the link). Their music represented something different and unique in late-1980s Punk Rock. The same thing could be said today (regardless of the out-dated references to Reagan etc.). It was Michael Franti and Roni Size's, who soon afterwards spawned The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy and Spearhead, first act.

Fortunately, after being out of print, you can now get the record.

X-Ray Spex

X-Ray Spex
is my favorite late 1970s UK teenage punk band. The music is interesting and the band is cute. The lead singer Poly Styrene is better than Blondie. The saxophone is a nice addition to the usual punk combo. Their song materials shows the age of the musicians (let alone all the pictures chock full of braces. The only album released was Germfree Adolescents. I highly recommend it.

Here are a few clips.

Monday, April 24, 2006

Flux of Pink Indians

Flux of Pink Indians was a leftist early 1980s British punk rock band. Being more concerned with message, their musical style is similar to CRASS and also appeared on their record label.

Although I also appreciate their music and style, their history is interesting. Go Here for the Wilkipedia entry on the band. Go Here for some of their lyrics.

Throbbing Gristle

Before Psychic TV, there was Throbbing Gristle. TR was one of the first industrial acts. Their music was extremely experimental (I have yet to listen to their more recent album). Many of their songs, particularly Hamburger Lady, can be compared to a sonic assault. If you want something different, I recommend it.

CRASS

CRASS was a British hardcore band in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their music was always more about the message that the music, but managed to show real creativity. For a brief history of CRASS and their record label go Here. Clips may be found Here.

Another of my favorite products are the full-sized CRASS poster which are the inside of every folder-over record such as this one:

These posters alone make buying the records worthwhile. At the very least, CRASS posters cause annoying people to go away.

Another interesting feature of CRASS is the variety of male and female vocalists. In fact, my favorite album is Penis Envy. I don't believe anything else is quite like it, and I'd highly recommend it.

Sub Hum ans

The Subhumans are some of the best musicians ever to play punk rock in Britain or anywhere else (there is also a Canadian band of the same name). In fact, some people don't care for their music because they play too well. A favorite among crust punks, their music offers a hard hitting critique of modern life. If you haven't heard them, you should check them out Here.

Alien Sex Fiend

Alien Sex Fiend is one of the first industrial-gothic bands. Mr. and Mrs. Fiend's make a formidable musical pair on vocals and keyboards respectively. I've also appreciated the fact that most of the music features a live drummer in addition to a beat box.

Here are a few clips along with a short biography.

Poison Idea

Poison Idea is my favorite Portland punk rock band. Their music is aggressive yet as full as a five-piece can be.

Here are a few links to some of their MP3s.

London Calling

A man in London was Detained for singing along in a cab to The Clash's London Calling. Apparently, in England, one's choice of music makes one a possible terrorist. I wonder what would have happened if he had played Jihad Swing?

Suicide

Suicide was basically the first industrial music. As the above link states, "Although they barely receive credit, Suicide (singer Alan Vega and keyboardist Martin Rev) is the source point for virtually every synth pop duo that glutted the pop marketplace (especially in England) in the early '80s. Without the trailblazing Rev and Vega, there would have been no Soft Cell, Erasure, Bronski Beat, Yaz, you name 'em, and while many would tell you that that's nothing to crow about, the aforementioned synth-poppers merely appropriated Suicide's keyboards/singer look and none of Rev and Vega's extremely confrontational performance style and love of dissonance."

Their drum machine was a modified bowling pin setter. They had to build it themselves. Ric Ocasek took Suicide under his wing, but the record industry didn't really know what to do with them in the days of stadium shows. Even Bruce Springsteen was a fan. Crowds acted extremely hostile to their music. As related on their album liner notes, after opening for The Cars it was found that someone had actually thrown a knife at them during a performance. However, the club scene loved them and their influence may be heard to this day.

Here are MP3 clips to most of their well-known recordings.

GG Allin: Public Animal No. 1

GG Allin was the true king of hardcore. If anyone ever says, "Hey, let's go watch a GG Allin video," be prepared to be sickened. He was actually as talented as he was twisted. A cousin of mine who lived at the same squat for a time once told me he was known by his smell (he never bathed). His later material was his most violent. I have a copy of his last album. He is lying dead in his coffin on the back cover. Depending upon whom one believes, he either died of a drug overdose or was beat to death by straight edge skinheads. Whatever, I'm sure if there's an afterlife, he's still eating his own feces.

The Chumpfish Shuffle

The Chumpfish Shuffle was originally recorded in 1996 before Allison P. (supporting vocals) hit Pete F. in the head with a 2x4 (and he took back his equipment; he was later beaten by drama students). It features SRL ranting from the 6th Draft of Neither the Government nor the Population.

Credits:

SRL: Everything Else

Total Time: 16'47"

This track will be the last track of Only Chumps Pay when released. It will be an internet single for now.

The Fall

The Fall is one of my musical favorites. The band, based in Manchester England, has been around since the mid-1970s. Since the 1980s, The Fall has experienced dozens of different line-ups. It might be the longest lasting of the original Punk/New Wave, and certainly has produced more albums (see above). The only constant (although he doesn't necessarily sing on every track) is frontman Mark E. Smith. Since the 1980s, The Fall has basically been his project. He routinely sacks his musicians. One of the advantages of such approach is the sound certainly changes album to album yet still remains the same (at least to the hardcore).

One of the things I appreciate about The Fall is many songs are well syncopated.

Here's my favorite unofficial website.

Here's what Wilkapedia has to say about The Fall.

Here are clips from many Fall songs.

Wesley Willis: Love You Like a Stick of Butter!

Periodically, I will be posting links regarding bands and musicians that I have a developed a fondness for (or influence as the case may be). I will include links to MP3s as well.

Today, I will be highlighting one of my DIY favorites: Wesley Willis. Wesley died in 2003, but his music lives on. He was a Chicago street performer who created his own unique music.

As the Alternative Tentacles Biography states (MP3s may also be found on this page; you will need to use the pull-down menu to reach his page):

Wesley Willis stood 6'5" tall and weighed somewhere between 300 and 350 pounds prior to contracting leukemia, and liked to greet people with a headbutt. Wesley enjoyed walking the streets of Chicago, peddling his detailed ballpoint/felt-tip renderings of the city and riding around on the bus. On October 21, 1989, he began hearing voices and was shortly thereafter diagnosed as having chronic schizophrenia. Willis claimed to have "schizophrenia demons" in his head that take him off of his "harmony joy rides" to put him on "torture hell rides". In 1992 Wesley began writing songs, and soon after, guitarist Dale Meiners took Wesley in to his studio to record them. After many line-up changes, Meiners and Wesley formed the Wesley Willis Fiasco, with Wesley as frontman. Willis had built up a small cult following with his bizarre, three-chord rants about trivial everyday items, music, and people he knows. For the first part of the 90's, several independently released tapes of his songs appeared, eventually followed by indie recordings of his albums. He now has over 1000 songs in circulation and has recorded at least 50 albums. At one point he recorded 4 different albums in 36 days. Each one is completely finished in 5 hours or less.

He was certainly a musician's musician.

A tribute Internet Album is also available for free downloand Here.

Love you like a stick of butter, Wesley. RIP.

DRUNK AND ARMED News

All tracks of The Hippo Tumor Mixes have now all been posted along with lyrics (where applicable). I am now working on the CD Cover and insert which will be available for download in the near future.

But don't worry (as if you were), I have already started working on a second virtual album tentatively called Only Chumps Pay. I will begin posting tracks in the very near future as I finish. (I should have something called The Chumpfish Shuffle ready by next week.)

This morning I heard your voice
coming through the speakers of my radio
I was paying close attention
because traffic was moving way too slow
I know you like the sound of your own voice
Coming through the speakers of your radio show

Chorus:
No, it's not just noise
It's your voice
On the radio
Nothing like the sound
of your voice on the radio show

You give out lots of free advice
to all the sinners who call into your radio show
But how can you save all those souls
when you can't save your own?
I know you like the sound of your own voice
Coming through the speakers of your radio show

Chorus

Six White Caps she purchased
And she knows just what she’s doing
Her lifeline shattered in pieces
And she’s going to be leaving soon

Chorus:
Six white horses are coming to take her away
From all of this
Six white horses are coming to take her away
From all of this

She froze in a corner
With here eyes staring wide
Tears on her cheeks still flowing
She must be crying still on the inside

Chorus

Just like the horses coming
Tears are roaring on her head
She takes note of their arrival
Specs of light in her vision

Chorus (x2)

Goodbye bitch!

Sitting on top of my water tower
In a pouring rain
Full moon out tonight
And I’m going insane

Chorus:
Howling at the moon
In the middle of night
Sure is fun
And makes the cops all uptight

Sitting on top of my water tower
With my wolf suit on
Cops are really annoyed now
Reaching for their guns

Chorus

Siting on down on the railroad track
In front of a speeding train
Headlights are getting bigger now
In the pouring rain

Chorus

Toward the speeding train
Down the middle of the tracks
Cops chasing me down
There’s no time to turn back

I’m running out of track
Towards the speeding train
Just 3 splats
In the pouring rain

Who do you wanna
take out with you?
Who ya gonna
take out with you? (x2)

The Wall (Take 2)

Track 9, recorded on a 2 track stereo in September 2000, of The Hippo Tumor Mixes features a solo effort by Cap't Lightning called The Wall (Take 2).

The Capt'n would like to convey this sincere hatred of academia, but that's not what this song is about. Give it a listen.

Track downloads may be found Here.

NAFTA AND GATT don’t you know
Fat cats own the WTO
It won’t be long until we’re all on the streets
Standing in line for something to eat

Chorus:

I’m at The Wall again
Back to The Wall
We’re at The Wall Again
At the The Wall
We’ve got our backs against the wall again
We’ve got our backs against the wall
We’ve got our backs against the wall again
We’ve got our backs against the wall

Find a job you’re qualified
Find out it’s just a waste of your time
go to the front go to the back of the line
I guess there’s no jobs to find

Chorus

We had better all stand as one
Fat cats got us under the gun
Brothers and sisters spread the alarm
We’re taking it back by force of arms

Chorus

Jihad Swing (Hammer Version)

Jihad Swing was written in 2000 at about 3:00 AM after a night of drinking and listening to lame bands. It's even more timely than it was then, which causes us to ask: how could you not see it coming?

Jihad Swing (Hammer Version), which is Track 10 of The Hippo Tumor Mixes, was recorded on a two track stereo in January 2001 about a week later while Pat "the Warden" pounded on some shelves in the gun room with a hammer. It was remixed in December 2005.

See also Jihad Swing #1. The lyrics are slightly different.

Capt'n Lightning: Bass, Vocals
Pat "The Warden": Hammer
SRL: Everything Else.

Oh, who's that knocking at my front door?
It's boys in black and they're dressed for war
Remember all those children in Waco dead?
Because boys in black like to break alot of heads

Chorus:
Oh bang, bang
knocking down my door
bang bang
everyone get on the floor
bang bang
knocking down my door
bang bang
bang bang you're dead!

Who's that knocking at my front door?
It's boys in black and they're playing at war
Better hide those posters, better hide that ink
Cause boys in black don't like the way we think

Chorus

Oh, who's that knocking at my front door?
It's boys in black and they're going to war
Oh smoke that bowl, smoke it all up
Flush that toilet, better hurry it up

Killing Birds #1G

Killing Birds #1 was the first time we ever played the song in early 2001. The later versions were too cheezy. Killing Birds #1G is a remix of the original recorded on a 2 track stereo. It took the longest to perfect (if you can call it that). The tape had many flaws, but I kept up with it. It was my favorite to play.
