This is a song about restraint. A while back, I Googled my name to see if it was still associated with a certain technical manual for which I authored sections and managed for a time. It still is, but I also discovered the one person I share a name with was sentenced to 3-7 for beating up his neighbor. Discovering this situation made me reflect that I was glad I had shown restraint in the past during similar disputes. I had passed the test. Credits

This song is about my bus, the King County Metro Route E, formally the
358, and before that it was the 359 until a maniac shot the bus driver
and it went over the side of the Aurora bridge. It is one of the
busiest routes in the system, and it can be pretty fucked up--especially
during off-peak times. But what the hell: it comes pretty frequently,
makes lots of stops and is convenient
Note: The final track count for Maladaptive is 14 total. Tracks 1-10 & 12 have been released. Tracks 11, 13 & 14 will be forthcoming, concluding in January 2017. These 14 tracks were composed and recorded in about 8 weeks.
Insane features 2 different mixes, which are the Maxima and Minima versions, which are the 5th and 12th tracks of Maladaptive
by Drunk And Armed, respectively. When my wife heard the former version, she said my slide guitar made her want to puke. To which I say, "My music made
someone sick?!? Mission Accomplished!" Except, since its my wife, I
made a version that did not make her want to vomit.
Race to the Bottom is the 4th track of Maladaptive by Drunk And Armed. It is a worthy successor to the prior effort, and pretty much sums up the current election season: No matter who wins, "The race to the bottom has been won."

(Never Be An) Astronaut is the first track of the Maladaptive album. It is a little rougher than those to follow (I will be releasing about 1 a week for at least the next month). It is a different style, as mentioned in the prior post. I call it Punk Jazz, which will hopefully annoy someone.
As far as what the song is about, I'll let it speak for itself.
The AC Adapters for my guitar effects pedals do not work and replacing them is turning into a major pain in the ass. Just because the plug fits and it says 9 volts does not mean it will deliver the power needs for the device to work, but don't tell it to idiots on EBAY.
But enough of that, meanwhile, I started playing a new style that has proven prolific anyway. It's still punk, but I think it is more punk jazz than anything else it could be described. In addition to my power supply woes, my shoulder, which is still smarting from a collision (side swipe on I-5) with a semi- at 60 mph last year (the fucker also hit and ran, and got away with it), can't play guitar as easy so I did it all the bass stand up.
Believe it or not, I actually tried not to play badly, Satan help me!
Anyway, starting soon, my first such efforts will be coming soon. I have started a new album called "Maladaptive" in honor of the non-working AC adapters. "Dirt" will probably return. I have a great deal of recordings to work with in that style yet. (And I may find someone competent to replace my power supplies. It could happen.)
Let me know what you think. I am responsible for the entire product.
