Antithesis: C.C.M. - into the void (lp). This LP is my pick for the greatest hard core lp of all time. The violence seeps from its wax. Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers were capable of sounding good with production levels of the most basic tape recordings through professionally produced recordings like this LP. Few hard core bands can sustain that energy both live and in the studio. The exceptions are always outstanding. They live it.
Crushed by the Wheels of Industry is an anthem.

The Germs - MIA: The Complete Anthology. Only-In-It-For-The-Music has complete albums for download. It might take a bit to download a 100 or so megabyte file, but it sounds great.

CHEETAH CHROME MOTHERFUCKERS / I REFUSE IT!- Permanent Scar Split LP (Children of the Revolution Records, UK, 1985). "Fuck Yeah!"
If you are going to burn a disk, I recommend adding the following to the end:
Rhythm Pigs - An American Activity E.P. 7″
(A tape was made for me with the Rhythm Pigs EP at the end as great "filler." It was complementary somehow.)

CHEETAH CHROME MOTHERFUCKERS- Furious Party 7"EP (Belfagor Records, Italy, 1985)
As I written before, CHEETAH CHROME MOTHERFUCKERS- Furious Party 7"EP (Belfagor Records, Italy, 1985) is my favorite Italian hard core band. Their intense music is just what I want to hear. I once owned this EP (I traded it for a sandwich), but traded it away from a prime recording of everything by CCM we could get our hands on, and several albums besides (and anyway my old record player probably would have chewed it up). I still wish I hadn't done so - if only for the cover. So thanks for posting it Good Bad Music For Bad, Bad Times!

Raw Power - Wop Hour
More Raw Power - Wop Hour! More great Italian Hard Core. Also includes raw power & fuck authority which was featured on the P.E.A.C.E./WAR compilation.) It may be one of the greatest hard core songs ever sung in the English language. (Oh, the irony...) I also like the cowbell. I once recorded it onto my telephone answering machine (when I wasn't looking for work).
"I don't understand why everyone doesn't like this music and its energy."

SUBHUMANS- No Wishes, no Prayers LP (SST Records, USA, 1983). Get the mp3, buy the record.
In my opinion, vinyl, played on a good old record player through a tube amp, is always better for punk rock.

PUNKTAPES.COM
Although not as frequently updated as some, PUNKTAPES.COM is another punk rock mp3 blog I will be visiting (and downloading from). I also like the fact that they will place all the mp3s from a tape into one Zip file. Check it out.
Update: Some of their posted Mp3s are pretty low quality. If you have the software, you might want to enhance these tracks.
